Excellent coat which will be perfect for those cold wet days out in the countryside. I ordered 1 size up and love that I can wear it with layers underneath for extra warmth. I’m sure the numerous pockets will prove useful for carrying all the equipment I have. The cartridge holders in the pocket is a nice thoughtful touch

I bought one for Winter Clays.
I bought one of these on recommendation from a friend as we enter the winter shooting months. While I do sporting clays as opposed to any bird, it ticked all the boxes. My initial purchase was for an XL, however I found this slightly to large, So I ordered the L. I prefer a slightly closer fit to ensure the gun doesn’t get caught up. Firstly as a typical man, who generally buys things in a shop, the view of buying clothes from an online retailer and sending them back if they don’t fit is still alien to me, however the process at New forest has completely changed my mind on this as it’s so easy and they are very accommodating. The jacket itself is amazing, I thought I may have to layer, but it’s not needed. The internal material is incredibly soft and comfortable. As a diver I was a little sceptical about the neoprene cuffs, thinking they would be like my dive suits, but I can say they are nothing like that, very comfortable, seal very well and you wouldn’t even notice them. Overall I’m very happy with the jacket, to the extent I even went and bought the matching trousers.

Brilliant coat for the money , zips up to the neck nicely to keep the wind out . I bought mine for fishing as apposed to shooting and is slightly larger than I thought but it allows me to layer up and isn’t an issue as I can keep warm and dry as I’m sat waiting for that inevitable bite . 10/10

Great winter field jacket.
Great jacket. Plenty warm, with room for layering, and more pockets than you can shake a stick at! (The small elastic ammunition slots within the main pockets are a nice little gimmick too).
I have yet to properly put the jacket to the test on a truly bitter day, but I have no doubt it’ll prove its worth. Feels very well made, and for a fraction of the price of similar jackets on the market.
One thing I will say though - for the larger gentleman, like my good self, definitely size up. I’ve found that with most country wear brands, they tend to run a bit on the smaller side.. I myself am usually a XXL (6’4 and 52” chest), going up to a 3XL when I want a looser fit. But I had to max out at 4XL for this jacket and I’m glad I did. It fits absolutely lovely, but I’m glad I consulted the size charts first.
