Just like the original, it’s totally waterproof, reassuringly durable and completely windproof.
This latest version, however, offers a huge step forward in terms of “breathability”—or, as the fabric boffins like to call it: Moisture Vapour Transmission Rate.
So, however hard you’re working, you won’t get that uncomfortable, clammy, sweaty feeling on the inside of thesmock. Which is obviously great news for all the proper grafters (AKA Ridgeline customers) out there.
The 3-layer construction features a brushed polyester outer with a C0 durable water-repellent finish for protection, tear resistance and durability in combination with a warm, soft hand-feel.
The rugged, half-length front zip features chunky zip-pullers for ease of use with gloves or mitts. A deep, popper-fastened storm flap keeps wind and rain where it belongs—on the outside.
Hip Zips in the side seams provide the option of increased mobility—perfect for riding or driving a quad bike.
The large, flap-protected chest pocket offers plenty of storage space for work or outdoor essentials. Two zipped lower pockets provide extra capacity—and a place to warm up your hands on cold mornings.
A deep, wired hood features three adjustment points and provides a close-fitting haven in harsh, windy conditions. When not is use, it simply rolls away into the collar.
A tough, adjustable drawcord at the waist fine-tunes the fit and seals in the warmth.
The cuffs are wide enough to allow the sleeves to be rolled up in warmer conditions and feature Velcro-adjustments to cinch them tight to your wrists in the very worst weather.

I ordered 3 smocks from NFC, 2 sizes and 2 colours. The smaller size fit with room to spare for thicker winter layers, and I preferred the Deep Forest colour over the Bark on me. The dark green is a lovely shade, coordinates well with my other clothing, and I love it, I also loved the sale price

This is the second Ridgeline smock I have purchased, this is my go to garment for walking the dogs and working on the local estate. I find the smock an ideal fit but it is big enough to fit a thick fleece or jumper under if the weather changes and temperature drops. I have never been disappointed with Ridgeline so will always recommend the brand. I would also recommend Sherwood for the ease to order and the super fast delivery.

Great buy! I have work this coat in rain, snow, sleet and arctic cold days. It has NEVER let me down by leaking or letting in a draft. Absolute must. Perfect for dog walking, shoot days or anything outside in those winter months.

Fantastic smock for walking the dogs on blustery / drizzly days. Comfortable fit with enough room to layer up for colder days and I love the long length of the arms. You can feel it's a quality item and is a pleasure to wear. I can't comment on how waterproof it is as we've unfortunately been lacking any decent rain for too long. I've had many compliments and my daughter has her eyes on it (nope‚it's..mine!).
