This coat has been excellent against these November rains, and I really appreciate the deeper hood it has compared to a lot of cheaper coats, as it fully covers my head and stops rain soaking my collar.

a bit too long.
Have worn this a few times. appears to be 100% water proof and the lining gives some warmth, but will need to layer up in colder weather. Seems good quality. The only complaint is the length. I am only 5 foot 4 but ordered the small size (a bit large, but ok can layer up) but it is about 6 inches too long -almost touches my ankles. I will probably get it professionally shortened as I really like it, but it is made for someone 6 foot tall!

In an effort to replace my 30 year old oilskin slicker , I decide to look for a synthetic option. I found it in a British company, New Forest Clothing. Their product line is well suited to our damp north coast Winters, and I like the Country style.
When our winter rains come I'm hoping to put it to the test putting miles on Annie and JR as we pack into the mountains and work cattle throughout the American West. The XXXL size recommended by the online fitter is appropriate and allows extra layers.
